MATE System Controller

Item Description Number

OutBack MATE

The MATE System Controller allows users to make changes to functionality of Inverters, Charge Controllers and other OutBack items. The MATE is normally wall mounted or bracket mounted. See example photos below.

OutBack MATE2

The MATE2 is the same software and functionality as the MATE, but in a different plastic case. The MATE2 is generally flush mounted by cutting a hole in the wall (or bulk head of non-wall vertical surfaces) to match the backside outline of the MATE2. The MATE2 comes with a cut template for the wall.

MATE in use.
1. You can bring a MATE with you to help a friend.
2. A MATE can be in the bedroom with you so you don't have to go outside.
3. A MATE can also help you in the Garage.
The MATE is the handiest thing.... The HUB comes with 50 foot cable for the MATE. I stretched the cable through the attic and connected from the HUB outside to the MATE inside.

My MATE was mounted in the bedroom, next to the Brinks Security control. The MATE is too bright to sleep by. I modified the super bright LEDs by placing a paper hole punch "chad" over the LED. I found it best mounted by the Inverter, since I do a lot of debugging for others... I wanted to see what the MATE was doing to the system.

The MATE has a neat little glow about it... Attracts bugs, but I am not sure how this Mosquito got behind the plastic!
